Meet the friendly staff at Animal Health Care Center!
Dr. Cruzen graduated from Michigan State University in 1994. Soon after graduation, she moved to Alabama where she has been practicing in the Madison area ever since. Her husband works for NASA and they have two boys. She is owned by a cat named Pumpkin, a yellow Lab named Buck, and a tiny Chorkie named Teddy.
Dr. Dodson was born in Murray, KY where she knew from an early age that she wanted to be a veterinarian. She attended college in her hometown at Murray State University before moving to Auburn for graduate school. She graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Dr. Dodson found her way to north Alabama in the winter of 2013 and now calls it home. She is married to her husband, Chad Watts and they have a beautiful little girl named Evie. Dr. Dodson has 3 small dogs (Kimmie, JoJo, and Manny) and 2 turtles (Raiden and Squirtle).
Katie Brooks grew up in Priceville, AL. After graduation she studied Animal Sciences at Auburn University then graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. She recently married her husband Michael, and they have one cat named Priscilla Pig. She loves working with dogs and cats (especially cats!) and their owners to help them live happy, healthy lives!
Bailee was born and raised in north Alabama where her passion for animals was fostered by a family who spoiled her with a variety of animals to care for. She started her work with Animal Health Care Center in 2012 as a kennel assistant and has since become a veterinary technician. She enjoys building lasting relationships with her patients and clients, and providing the best nursing care available. When she isn’t working at AHCC, you can find her caring for her own menagerie which includes three dogs and a cat, as well as a pig, goat, several silkie chickens, and a cow.
Becky has been part of the Animal Health Care Center team since June of 2015. When she isn’t at the clinic, she enjoys cooking, reading, and traveling with her husband. She also enjoys spending time with her three children and three grandchildren. She has two dogs and two cats.
Brittaney was born and raised in Alabama and has always had a burning desire to work with animals. She has 2 boys and they are owned by 2 amazing cats named Bleu and Ghost.
Megan is a senior at Sparkman High School and will be attending the University of South Alabama in the fall. She plans on majoring in business management. She enjoys being involved in sports, especially football and is wanting to pursue a career in sports management. She is owned by 2 maltipoos and 2 cats.
Stephen was born in Adelaide, Australia and has lived in Huntsville for the past 15 years. He graduated from Sparkman High School, and is currently pursuing a Veterinary Technician degree. He loves getting to work with animals, and enjoys the opportunity to see how a great veterinary hospital works. Stephen is owned by 4 cats, 3 dogs, and several chickens
Katie grew up in Destin, FL and moved to Huntsville from Gainesville, FL in 2017. She loves working with animals and is currently pursuing a degree in Veterinary Technology. When Katie is not at the clinic you can find her studying, horseback riding, or hiking. She is owned by 3 dogs, 2 cats, and a ferret.
Felicia grew up on an equine and cattle farm in Somerville, Alabama. Her burning passion for animals led her to pursue a career in the veterinary field. In her free time, Felicia enjoys reading, hiking, and doing obstacle courses with her animals. She is currently owned by three dogs and two horses.
Isabella has a genuine love and passion for animals. Her favorite part of this job is getting to know and spending time with each patient/boarder individually so she can make sure they are comfortable and happy during each visit. When she’s not at work taking care of animals she’s either volunteering or fostering an animal through Friends of Rescue in Huntsville. She also has two dogs, Toby and Zoe, and two cats, Kovu and Fenti, who she loves more than anything.
Ryan was born in Morgantown, West Virginia and moved to Huntsville in 2013. He loves working with animals and is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Outside of work, you can find him studying, playing with his pets, or playing video games. He is owned by two cats and a fish.
Kayla is new to our clinic! She’s from Chattanooga, Tennessee. She spent her life owning all different kinds of animals anywhere from house hold, farm and exotic animals. Her passion, love and heart for animals led her to animal care at a local shelter in Chattanooga as kennel tech for a little over a year before she moved to Alabama where she found us. She says she has loved every second working at our Veterinary Clinic and loves getting to know the animals personally to provide the best care possible for our clients! She plans to continue and grow her journey in animal care in school, soon. She considers her 2 dogs and 3 cats who she adores to be like her kids!
Raelyn is a senior at James Clemens and hopes to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine. When not working you can find her volunteering with MARF at Petco or spending time with her two cats, Mocha and Porter.
Mariah has lived in Madison since she was 5 and has been with Animal Health Care Center since May of 2016. She currently studies biological sciences at Mississippi State University and is applying to vet schools. When Mariah's not at the clinic, you can find her studying, hanging out with friends, or working with her dog, Pippa.
Isabelle is from the Madison area and has been with Animal Health Care Center since November of 2018. She loves working with animals and has two of her own. Isabelle enjoys traveling, being active, and spending time with her family. She is a student at Auburn University studying Animal Sciences and is pursuing a degree in veterinary medicine.
